Heritage International Fund Managers (Malta) has set up office at Smart City Malta.

The company forms part of the Heritage Group, a leading independent provider of fund administration, financial services and specialist insurance, to corporate and private clients across the globe.

Heritage is a group of companies offering a range of specialist financial services through international finance centres. They operate in global markets acting for clients from around the world while also taking a local view, working with local regulators and the financial community where they are based.

The group employs around 200 staff members across offices in Guernsey, London, Malta and Gibraltar.

“As a further development phase of our operations in Guernsey as well as opportunities driven by a changing regulatory environment, including the EU Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive, Malta is deemed as an alternative jurisdiction from which to operate and provide growth to the group.

“The capability to access the wider European market place with funds domiciled in the EU in the private equity and property sectors provides another opportunity for Heritage International Fund Managers (Malta) to expand its fund administration capability,” Nicholas Warren, head of the Malta office, said.
