Hunters have complained with the Education Minister that questions in the Environment Studies examinations were biased against hunting.

In an open letter (see pdf link below) St Hubert Hunters said it was amply clear that children were not being given a chance to from their own opinion about hunting and trapping and were being subjected to the ideals of a bird protection society.

The organisation called on the government to ensure that children were educated in a manner that made a clear distinction between the legal practice of sustainable hunting and trapping and illegal acts. It offered its services as educators on hunting and trapping to the Education Department to be included in the curriculum on Environmental Studies.
