A government block at the entrance to Valletta, which was built after WWII, has been given a facelift with traditional wooden balconies made by Vassallo Joiners. The company said the project was carried out over two months and completed by the end of last year. The balconies were commissioned by the government as part of improvements to the area surrounding City Gate, which is being rebuilt under plans by world renowned Italian architect Renzo Piano.
