Kenneth Cauchi will give a public lecture entitled Architectural Development of Maltese Domes in the Baroque Age on February 18 at 6pm at the St Helen’s parish centre hall, Birkirkara (entrance through Sanctuary Street). It is organised by the University’s International Institute for Baroque Studies.

He will present a study of the exterior and interior of the more important Maltese church domes, including those that were either destroyed during World War II or modified over the years.

He will also focus on the architectural development of Maltese church domes from the 16th to the 18th century, examining their construction and stylistic progress as well as the influence of foreign architects practising in Malta.
