She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved children Tania and Tony Sultana, Marica and Frank Gauci, Anna and George Pulis, Josef, Silvana and George Bartolo Parnis, Christine Besnard Loporto, her 15 grandchildren and her precious great-granddaughter Faye, her brother Tony and Maria of UK, Edwin and Josephine and Charles and Rosemarie, her in-laws Daisy Zammit, Rose Zammit, Carmen Zammit, Antonia Stafrace and Rose Loporto, her numerous nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. TABONE. On January 23, at Roseville Home, Attard, CARMELINA, widow of Angelo, aged 79, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She will be sadly missed by her children Edmund and his partner Maria and Josette and her husband Victor Carachi, her grandchildren Jessica and her boyfriend Andre, Julia, Erica and her boyfriend Jonathan, Karen, her sisters Silvia and her husband George Sammut, Mary and her husband Roger Clark, Doris and her husband Charles Sammut, and Vivian and her hus-band Carmel Fsadni, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Roseville Home today at 1.30pm for Mosta parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. VASSALLO. On January 23, HELEN, aged 73, departed this life to meet the Lord, surrounded by her family. She leaves to mourn her loss her devoted and loving husband Edward, her children Roberta, Antoine, Gertrude and Mark together with their respective husbands and wives, nephews, nieces, family and friends. Film at US Embassy

The film The Tuskeegee Airmen will be screened at the US Embassy in Ta’ Qali on February 5 at 6pm to mark Black History Month.

The Tuskeegee Airmen is the true story of how a group of African-American pilots overcame racist opposition to become one of the finest US fighter groups in World War II.

Col Jano Carlson, defence attaché, will lead a discussion after the film.

Seminar on domes

The International Institute for Baroque Studies at the University of Malta will be holding a public lecture on the “Architectural development of Maltese domes in the Baroque age.”

The lecture, by Kenneth Cauchi, will be held on February 18 at 6pm at St Helen’s parish centre hall, Birkirkara (entrance through Sanctuary Street).
