An attack on a forthcoming production at the Manoel Theatre has only served to give it more publicity,

The target of the attack was the production Jiena Nhobb, Inti thobb.

A member of the River of Love fellowship publicly asked people not to attend the play since it gives “bad examples” (see below).

His appeal went viral on the social media, with the majority condemning the attack.

The play deals with gay adoption, IVF, surrogacy, sexuality and society’s reactions to such matters.It is the work of playwright Simon Bartolo with direction by Sean Buhagiar.

Producer Mario Philip Azzopardi said this was a production which was addressed directly to Maltese society, dealing with a current dilemma which it was confronted with.

The cast includes Ray Calleja, Clare Aguis, Roderick Vassallo, Marilú Vella, Sharon Bezzina and Peppi Azzopardi.
