A group of Junior College students recently visited the European Parliament in Strasbourg to take part in the Euroscola experience where students have the opportunity to step into the shoes of MEPs for a day.

Along with students from 19 other countries, they held discussions on topics related to the environment and renewable energy, freedom of information and active citizenship, food wastage, the 2014 European elections and youth employment. They also voted on questions involving the European community and its interests.

They also visited numerous cultural sights in the city and toured the traditional Christmas markets of the Alsace region.

The visit was coordinated by the college Eurocentre. Lecturers Claudine Borg and Stephanie Xerri Agius accompanied the students.
