Sliema Wanderers defender Stefano Bianciardi will miss his team’s clash with Hibs on Sunday after receiving a one-match ban for four yellow cards.

Championship Pool hopefuls Mosta and Floriana will both have an important player missing for their direct clash on Sunday.

Mosta will be without Lukas Duriska after the Slovakian midfielder collected his fourth booking in Saturday’s 3-2 victory over Hibernians.

Andre Scicluna, the Floriana defender, was also banned for one match after earning his fourth yellow card in the 2-1 defeat to Balzan.

Balzan will have to make do without Fabio Vignaroli for Saturday’s clash with strugglers Qormi after the Italian midfielder in-curred his fourth caution in the win over Floriana.

Bottom side Rabat Ajax were the worst hit as they had two players on the suspensions’ list.

Young winger Aidan Azzopardi was slapped with a two-match ban after he was shown a straight red card in the 3-0 defeat to Naxxar Lions.

Azzopardi and Montenegrin goalkeeper Pavle Velimirovic, also sent off in Rabat’s last game, have been ruled out of Saturday’s match against fellow relegation strugglers Tarxien Rainbows.

Azzopardi will also miss the game against Valletta.

Naxxar Lions have lost captain Victor Bellia for their encounter with champions Birkirkara on Saturday after the midfielder received his fourth yellow card in the win over Rabat.

Vittoriosa Stars president Erskine Vella was handed a two-match touchline ban after being sent off for celebrating his side’s third goal in front of the Tarxien bench at the Hibs Stadium last weekend.

In Division One, Gżira United official Don Spagnol was suspended for one year after he allegedly assaulted a Melita player on Sunday.

A tense match, won 3-2 by Melita, was marred by skirmishes involving some players and officials after the final whistle.

Gżira United goalkeeper Kyle Gerada was banned for two matches.
