‘Curvy is sexy’ featuring plus-size clothes is one of the key themes of Berlin Fashion Week which got under way this week.

Trendsetters have been flocking to the German capital to rub shoulders with top designers, buyers and trade experts at the January opener of the twice-yearly extravaganza.

Berlin will also demonstrate its green fashion credentials by introducing the newest trends and discussing current questions surrounding ecological design.

Among this week’s eco-shows are Showfloor Berlin, Lavera Showfloor, GREENshowroom and the Ethical Fashion Show.

Other highlights include: Bread & Butter, the leading international trade fair for street and urban wear, with the motto “Ich Bin Ein Berliner” at the former Tempelhof Airport; Premium, the fashion show; Bright, the streetwear trade fair; the New York Trade Show (capsule); Show & Order, the platform for high fashion; Panorama, the fashion show; and The Gallery Berlin.
