Applications are being accepted for a Rotary scholarship worth $30,000 (€21,800) for international, postgraduate studies during academic year 2014-2015.

The studies may be in any of the following subjects: peace and conflict prevention/resolution; disease prevention and treatment; water and other sanitation; maternal and child health; literacy and basic education; and economic and community development.

The scholarships range from one to four years and may include an entire degree programme. They can cover tuition, travel and accommodation.

The Rotary Foundation is the world’s largest private donor of scholarships, with 800 grants offered worldwide annually.

Rotary is a service club that enables members to provide services to the community. It has been active in Malta for 46 years, and has supported many organisations, such as Dar il-Kaptan, the Għabex Centre and Caritas Malta.
