• Before concluding a distance or doorstep sale, consumers must be informed about their right to cancel the sale.
• Consumers are responsible to have proof that they cancelled the distance or doorstep sale within the stipulated time frame.
• Consumers have to pay the direct cost of returning the goods unless the trader has informed the consumer that he will be covering the cost.
