A train collision in North Dakota caused a major fire and a series of explosions, sending a mushroom cloud deep into the sky.

The collision happened in the eastern part of the state, just a mile outside of the small town of Casselton.

Officials said it was just after 2 p.m. local time when a westbound train carrying soybeans derailed and an eastbound 104-car train hauling crude oil ran into it.

There were no reports of any injuries.
