Two drivers and a passenger were hospitalised late yesterday following a head-on collision between two cars on the coast road.
The crash, at about 9.30 pm, involved a Peugeot which was being driven by a 48-year-old man from Swieqi and a Renault Megane driven by a man, 46 from Mosta. The passenger, an 18-year-old girl, was in the Renault Megane.
Rescuers from the Civil Protection Department were called to free one of the injured from the wreckage.
The police said all three had suffered grievous injuries.
