Artist Chris Ebejer is currently holding an exhibition of sacred art at the Banca Giuratale, Independence Square (It-Tokk), Victoria. It is his seventh exhibition and takes place seven years after his last exhibition in Gozo.

The exhibition’s theme, Winter Light, is inspired by light as a source of hope in the dark, short days of winter; it is also an allegory of the birth of Christ coming as a new light for the world, instilling hope in the darkness.

Rather than focusing on one style, Ebejer gives us a taste of diversity, reflective of his dynamic style, using and combining several materials and ideas. The nature of his eclectic artwork is demonstrated in the variety of styles and the range of materials the artist uses in his exhibits. The collection includes sculptures in terracotta, bronze, ceramics, and a number of sketches.

The exhibition, organised by the Gozo Ministry’s Gozo Cultural Centre, is open to the public from Monday to Friday between 8am and 3pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 9am to noon, until January 7.
