A total of €9,620 in donations was raised during the 24th edition of the annual charity fun run of St Theresa College Girls’ Secondary School, Mrieħel. The event, which was held recently by the school development group of teachers, also included a charity concert and fun fair.

The donations were mainly collected from the public by the school’s students in conjunction with voluntary groups. St Michael Foundation School of San Ġwann also donated €245 and other contributions came from primary and secondary schools forming part of the college.

The money was distributed to the beneficiaries during a ceremony in the presence of a host of guests, singers and dancers. €3,150 went to the Inspire Fondation; Caritas (Malta) received €2,250; €1,800 was donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust; €900 to the Piccola casa di San Giuzeppe children’s home in Valletta; €100 to the Emergency Fire and Rescue Unit while €900 went to the school’s benevolent fund.
