Q: I purchased an iron from a shop. A few days later, I was in another shop and found the same appliance marked at a lower price. It was €10 cheaper than the one I bought. Am I entitled to go back to the shop I bought my iron from and ask for a €10 refund?
A: There is no law that controls how much a product can be sold for or how much profit a seller can make from what they sell. As to pricing, the Price Indication Regulations stipulate that all products displayed for sale must be clearly indicated with a price so consumers can make an informed buying decision.
Such information allows consumers to compare products and their respective prices from different establishments and thus shop around for the best products and prices.
