A six-hour course entitled An Introduction to Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) will be held on January 26 from 10am to 5.30pm in front of the Gozo campus in Xewkija.
ABA is a method of studying and managing behaviour to bring about change.
It uses techniques to bring about meaningful and positive change in behaviour, such as giving rewards and positive reinforcement.
These are often used with children with autism, learning disabilities, behavioural difficulties and attention deficit disorders.
The course is ideal for learning support assistants, teachers and child carers.
The course will be led by Jacqueline Abela DeGiovanni, director of Hand in Hand Malta and of Play Therapy Malta and assistant course director at the Academy of Play and Child Psychotherapy.
The fee is €70 per person. Lunch is not included.
