George Borg Barthet Ltd has recalled some batches of Tixylix medicine because of a potential manufacturing fault with the tamper seal which may result in small pieces of plastic being found in the medicine.

There is currently no evidence of problems as a result of the fault but patients have been advised to return the medicines listed below as a precautionary measure.

Consumers can take the product back to their pharmacy and get a refund.

George Borg Barthet Ltd said the recall was authorised by the Medicines Authority.
