Emirates Airline has commenced flights to its newest destination: Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan.

Kabul is the 138th destination on the Emirates route network and Afghanistan is the 78th country it serves.

“Emirates is always striving to connect people,” said Adel Al Redha, Emirates’ chief operations officer.

“This route presents a new opportunity for the population of Afghanistan to access travel opportunities and destinations thanks to our extensive global network across six continents.”

EK 640 will depart Dubai daily at 9.55am and arrive in Kabul at 1.15pm. The return flight, EK 641, will leave Kabul at 3.30pm and arrive back in Dubai at 6pm.

The UAE-based carrier is the only airline offering first-class seats from Dubai to Kabul.

Emirates’ service to Kabul offers convenient onward connections to and from Europe, including London (Heathrow and Gatwick), Frankfurt, Manchester, Birmingham, Hamburg and Paris, plus the eight gateways which Emirates flies to in the US.

The airline operates four scheduled flights weekly from Malta to Dubai via Larnaca, Cyprus, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. While on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, Emirates operates direct flights from Dubai to Malta and return flights via Tripoli.
