Mango is adding to its lines with the launch of Violeta by Mango.

Spain’s international clothing brand aims to continue offering fashion to young women from size 40 upwards with a clear and simple message: “It suits me and I like it.”

The secret to this new project lies in the care taken in the technical pattern details from size to size and in being able to offer a high-quality collection for any moment of the day, aimed at a modern and demanding woman who wants to feel attractive, sexy and fashionable.

Consequently, the aim of Violeta by Mango is to dress a young target market in sizes 40 to 52 with garments designed to be comfortable, feminine and modern. To achieve this, it has an exclusive team made up of 40 experts in various disciplines working together to offer a wide range of on-trend products in a comprehensive collection of clothing and accessories for any moment of the day.

The presentation of the project coincides with the launch of the spring/summer 2014 campaign in January

The presentation of the project coincides with the brand’s launch of its spring/summer 2014 campaign in January. The collection will initially comprise 400 models, to which new garments will be added to offer new products every month.

The image of the new project has been created exclusively employing natural materials in the store display furniture and decor to create a welcoming and pleasing environment and offer a unique shopping experience.

The expansion plans for Violeta by Mango will begin in Mango’s seven largest markets: France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Turkey, Russia and Spain, with the first stores to open in Spain.

The collection will also be available at online stores in Europe, Turkey and Russia. Fifty retail outlets are forecast during the first half of the year, with another 50 to be added in the second half.

The target is to end 2014 with 100 stores in premises measuring approximately 350 square metres. Consequently, the collection will be displayed in shared stores alongside the remaining lines, and in standalone stores.

The garments in the new Violeta by Mango collection will go on sale at online stores on January 15 and will be available at selected stores from January 17.

Mango opens Paola store

Mango also opened its third outlet in Malta.

During the launch, Spanish Ambassador Felipe de la Morena Casado said he was pleased to be in the company of a group which has strong connections with Spain and which is the official franchisee of Mango and a number of other Spanish fashion brands in Malta.

Following the unveiling of a plaque by the ambassador, Big Bon Group owners Mario and Bernard Gauci presented a donation to Fr Martin Micallef, director of Dar tal-Providenza.

Mango first expanded outside Spain and Portugal to Malta in 1994. The brand in Malta has grown stronger after the success of its first Valletta store and soon after a second one in Sliema.

Today, in addition to the women’s collections, the store at The Point includes the recently launched Mango Kids collection.

“It has always been our goal to increase the presence and availability of stylish fashion brands to the Maltese community. With this latest addition to our chain of retail outlets, we believe this goal is becoming a reality,” Big Bon Group CEO Mario Camilleri said.

The event ended with a reception, during which a special promotion was available to guests, stylists, models and customers present on the opening night.

Mr Camilleri thanked Mar Jordana, Mango’s official representative from Barcelona, who was responsible for the project, and Shirley Attard, Malta’s first Mango employee, who is now responsible for the local operation of Mango.

The new Mango outlet is in Main Street, Paola.
