Video interviews of youths talking about their careers, talents, social life and fashion are being featured on The Zone at www.timesofmalta.com/thezone. Tomorrow, two new interviews with international dance performer Athanasia Kanellopoulou and artist Samuel Sultana will be uploaded.

Since winning a scholarship at Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, London, as well as the Scholarship for Artistic Excellence at Martha Graham School, New York, the US, Kanellopoulou has danced for nearly 14 years and is well known across Europe, including Malta.

The Zone met her to learn what it is like to be an international performer and making a living from dance, and what skills are required to become a professional artist and a choreographer.

Ever since he obtained his Masters in the creative arts in the UK, Sultana hasn’t looked back. From exhibitions and projects in Bristol, to works in Malta, Sultana is the quintessential artist who lives for his art.

It has been a year since The Zone first met Sultana in the privacy of his old dwelling in Malta. Today, he still works full-time as an artist, he travels between Malta and the UK and is proud to have launched his first big exhibition here.

The Zone had a special preview of his artwork, a glimpse of which is available online.
