“You cannot debate satire. Either you get it or you don’t” – Michael Moore

Times Talk will attempt to prove the well-known American satirist wrong when it discusses Maltese satire.

Are the Maltese capable of laughing at themselves? Are we getting it all wrong? Is social stereotyping the norm? When does satire become offensive? Is satire automatically offensive? Are there any sacred cows?

Discussing the subject will be actors and comedians Alan Montanaro and Pawlu Borg Bonaci and blogger Wayne Flask.

Viewers are invited to send their questions and comments on timesofmalta.com and on the Facebook and Twitter pages of Times Talk.

Presented by Times of Malta’s head of media Herman Grech and chief reporter Mark Micallef, Times Talk is live on TVM at 6.55pm with a repeat on TVM 2 at 10.15pm. The programme is also streamed live on timesofmalta.com.
