What is your most favourite part of Christmas?

I love Christmas. Usually it is taken up with rehearsals for a panto or a show, but Christmas Eve is off and it is my favourite day of the year. I am so excited on the night of the 23rd-24th that I can’t sleep. And on that day I usually meet up with mates and family and get very drunk. And I tell everyone how much I love them, and throw up. Bliss.

Which is your best Christmas memory of all time?

I’ve got loads! My family has always made a big deal about Christmas, so as a kid it was always about the countdown to the ‘magic’ night. But my favourite memory is probably Christmas 2009, when Kat (my wife) and I, were volunteering in Namibia and went on a camping holiday to Zambia for Christmas with some volunteer friends. Waking up on Christmas morning in a tent we had decorated and then barbequing a turkey before getting roasted on some local moonshine was incredible.

What is the best gift you ever got for Christmas?

I once got given a Katie Price Calender. I was still very single. I’ve still got it, although the months of August and September have sort of fused.

If you had a magic wand, what would you want for Christmas this year?

World Peace. And perhaps some of Katie Price’s used underwear.

Do you believe in Santa Claus?

Of course I do. He still brings me at least one pressie every year. I even leave a carrot out for Rudolph on Christmas eve.

Which is your favourite Christmas song?

The Pogues and Kirsty McColl – Fairytale of New York - the greatest Christmas song ever written. With a lyric like ‘Happy Christmas your arse/ I’ll pray God it’s our last’ how can you not love it?

How will you be spending Christmas this year?

With family and friends. Eating and drinking too much and getting all emotional. And then on boxing day it is opening night for a new show I am in – The Christmas Comedy Cavalcade. Plus that I will be watching the MADC panto RapunzelStiltskin, because I wrote it!

What will be your New Year resolutions this year?

To stop farting so loudly in public. I have never been able to hit the silent ones and it is about time I learnt.

What is your favourite holiday season food?

Mince pies! I love them! So much so that I bought some when I was in London in August. I say some, I meant loads, and I have not stopped eating them since. I think they might be causing the farts.

Christmas is a time of giving, will you be doing something charitable this Christmas?

Yep. Kat and I spent a bit of time doing voluntary work in different places around the world and we still try to support some of the great organizations that we spent time with. One organization in particular which works with young people with disabilities in Cambodia is very close to our hearts. If anyone else would like to help out, contact me on Facebook to find out how.

What about 2014?

2014 is going to be mega! With a Baron Bubblebeef EP coming out, a new play in Feb (which I wrote and am directing) - Adam and Eve…and Kevin, and loads more stand up.
