A group of 13 church schools have embarked upon the Green Energy Schools (GES) project to reduce the schools’ dependency and use of non-renewable energy sources.

The schools, members of the Private Schools Association, will executive the project over 18 months. With the help of ERDF funds, photovoltaic panel arrays will be put up in 12 schools and Intelligent Lighting systems in three.

The participating project partners are: Bishop's Conservatory primary and secondary schools; Convent of the Sacred Heart School Foundation; Savio College; St Albert the Great College; St Aloysius' College; St Augustine's College; St Elias College; St. Francis School Cospicua and Sliema; St. Michael School; St. Paul's Missionary College and the Archbishop's Seminary.
