Maquettes for three monuments dedicated to the former Presidents Guido de Marco and Censu Tabone and former Prime Minister Dom Mintoff have been selected, the government said.

The selected maquette of Prof. De Marco is the work of Aaron Camilleri Cauchi while those of Mr Mintoff and Dr Tabone are the work of Alfred Camilleri Cauchi.

The monuments will be built next year.

A call for proposals had been made by Heritage Malta and 16 casts were submitted. The chosen three were selected by a jury made up of architects, artists, people in culture, Heritage Malta officials and representatives from the Office of the Prime Minister following consultation with family members of the three personalities.
