An initiative to support the gay community through social work, psychological and legal assistance was yesterday launched by the Malta Gay Rights Movement in collaboration with the US Embassy and Aġenzija Żgħażagħ.

The Rainbow Support Service was launched during a press conference addressed by Youth Parliamentary Secretary Stefan Buontempo who spoke about the government’s commitment to eliminating all forms of sexual discrimination for the LGBTIQ community (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender/intersex, questioning).

The press conference was also addressed by US Ambassador Gina Abercrombie-Winstanley who announced a grant of $26,000 to MGRM for this project.
