The share price of MaltaPost plc advanced by 2.7% to a new all-time high of €1.13 across four trades totalling 24,168 shares on the MSE today. Demand for the shares of the postal operator emerged ahead of the publication of the full-year results scheduled for this Friday 6 December.

The equity of Crimsonwing plc also moved 2.4% higher today to regain its all-time high of €0.87 across five deals totalling 63,230 shares. Similarly, GO plc continued to rise as it approaches its 2-year high of €1.68 on sustained demand. Just over 50,000 shares changed hands today with the share price closing at €1.659 representing a 0.6% increase over the previous close. This morning GO announced that Forthnet has published its Prospectus in connection with the €30 million rights issue. Shareholders can either trade their rights (by 18 December) or buy new shares at the ratio of 15 new shares for every 2 shares held at a price of €0.30 per share (by 24 December). Shareholders will also be able to subscribe for any unsubscribed shares.

MIDI plc also performed positively today with a 4.3% increase to €0.265 on increased volumes totalling 200,000 shares. Meanwhile, only 10,720 Middlesea Insurance plc shares changed hands today as the equity edged 2.4% higher to the €0.87 level.

On the other hand, Bank of Valletta plc’s share price slipped 0.4% back to the €2.60 level across thirteen trades totalling 14,451 shares. Over the weekend, BOV’s shareholders received the Bank’s Annual Report ahead of the Annual General Meeting which is scheduled to be held on Thursday 19 December.

The equity of RS2 Software plc also ended in negative territory with a 0.4% drop back to the €2.34 level on low volumes of 1,650 shares.

Meanwhile, HSBC Bank Malta plc held on to the €2.54 level across 10,700 shares.

On the bond market, the Rizzo Farrugia MGS Index slipped 0.1% lower to 1,020.856 points as Eurozone yields surpassed the 1.7% level as demand for bonds waned as the European Central Bank (ECB) is not expected to alter its policy during this Thursday’s monthly meeting.
