IBM’s business analytics technologies can be used to capture people’s attitudes, predict outcomes of future customer interactions and act on insights by embedding analytics into processes.

This was the theme of a seminar held at SmartCity Malta by People and Co. Ltd, a longstanding business partner for SPSS and now an advanced support-providing business partner for IBM Business Analytics (including SPSS).

IBM business analytics provide statistics, data mining, data collection, survey research and text analysis solutions. These address interconnected business objectives by focusing on the convergence of analytics, IT architecture and business processes. Commercial, government and academic customers worldwide rely on IBM technology as a competitive advantage in attracting, retaining and increasing customers, while reducing fraud and mitigating risk.

The latest version of IBM-SPSS Statistics version 22 software and its integrated family of products was showcased. Other solutions that were demonstrated included IBM-SPSS Modeler, Data Collection and Text Analysis for Survey Research. The entire analytical process was also demonstrated, from planning to data collection to analysis, reporting and deployment. The new enhancements in IBM-SPSS Statistics ensure that the most advanced analytical techniques are available to a broader group of business users, statisticians, analysts and researchers.

Making it easier to access and manage big data, set up and perform analysis, and share results across the organisation, IBM-SPSS Statistics now includes simulation modeling, advanced techniques for big data and improved integration.

The company said IBM-SPSS Statistics now makes working with data easier, more scalable and ensures optimal performance when working with mul-tiple predictors. T hrough a data file comparison tool, users now have the ability to compare datasets, or data files, to identify any discrepancies and ensure that the data values and records are compatible.

There are also graphical and output enhancements.
