Frederick Azzopardi is being appointed Enemalta’s chief executive officer as from next January, replacing Louis Giordimaina, who has been appointed CEO designate of Air Malta.

The government said in a statement that the handover would be taking place in the meantime to ensure continuity. Mr Azzopardi is currently CEO of the Water Services Corporation.

WSC and Arms Ltd chairman Tony Mejlaq would be resigning his post and contributing in other government sectors to be announced shortly, the government said.

John Abela is to be appointed chairman of Arms while the new chairman of the WSC would be announced in the coming days.
