BORG. On November 15, at St Vincent de Paule Residence, ANTONIA, née Debono, of Balzan, aged 87, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her beloved husband John, her cherished children Victoria, widow of Joseph O’Flaherty, residing in St Kitts, Marlene and her husband Edwin Debono, Joseph and his wife Lora, Peter Paul and his wife Mary Ann, her eight grandchildren Fidel, Tamara, Ghanja, Marie Clare, Sarah, Matthew, Adrian and Diane, her sisters Agostina and Gakkina and their families, her nephews and nieces, other relatives and numerous friends. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
BORG BARTOLO – CONNIE, passed peacefully away on November 14 at the age of 86. Her loving memory will be forever cherished by her children Ramon, Peter and Claire, their respective spouses and children, her brother and sisters, in-laws, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Wednesday at 1.30pm for Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Balluta, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord grant her eternal rest.
CACHIA. On November 15, at Karin Grech Rehabilitation Hospital, JOSEPH, of Balzan, at the remarkable aged of 101, went to meet the Risen Lord comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Rose and his sister Carmen Camilleri, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Karin Grech Rehabilitation Hospital tomorrow at 8am for Annunciation parish church, Balzan, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30am followed by interment at Balzan cemetery. Donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
SAMMUT. On November 5, at Mater Dei Hospital, our dear father CARMELO went to meet the Risen Lord, aged 85, comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by his family. The Sammut family would like to thank all those who in different ways showed their sympathy and support throughout this difficult period. We would like to express our deepest appreciation to the doctors and Hospice Malta, Balzan, who with their professional and personal approach gave our father the appropriate medical and palliative care.
VELLA. On November 14, at her home in Sydney, JOYCE, née Bonnici, widow of Alfred (Teddy), passed peacefully away, comforted by rites of the Catholic Church that was always very close to her heart. She leaves to mourn her loss the children she loved dearly and who loved her dearly in return, her son in Malta, Malcolm and his wife Isabelle, their children Annabelle and her husband Miguel Bonello, Malcolm and Arabella, and her great-grandchildren Emma and Andrew; her children in Sydney, Trevor and his wife Rosemary, Roberta and her husband Rod Fuller, and her daughter in Auckland Anne and her husband Linc Burgess, and their respective children; her sisters in Malta, Emmeline and her husband Dr Charles Palmier and Bice (Sister Enrica of the Sisters of Charity), as well as her other sister and brothers, nephews, nieces and cousins in Australia, England and Malta.
