The recently launched Peugeot 2008 crossover is firmly planted on the track to success. Thanks to a flood of customers, 2008 is on the podium for the T0 segment in four countries in Europe: second place in Denmark; third place in France, Portugal and Holland. This positive momentum is now strengthened by the five stars in the Euro NCAP tests and the new 1.2 e-VTi 82 ETG5 power unit.

The tests carried out by the independent Euro NCAP organisation give assurance of 2008’s high safety levels. The equipment fitted as standard is a perfect illustration of this.

2008 also benefits from Peugeot’s leadership in tertiary safety, with the Peugeot Connect SOS and Peugeot Connect Assistance services. In the event of an incident, the geo-location of the vehicle is determined and emergency or roadside assistance procedures implemented.

Moreover, the Peugeot i-Cockpit places the driver in the ideal position. Becoming one with their car, access to all controls is intuitive. The Peugeot i-Cockpit comprises a small multi-function steering wheel, adjustable for height and reach, a head-up instrument panel and a semi-floating seven-inch touchscreen.

To win new customers, the 2008 range now offers a 1.2 e-VTi 82 ETG5 version. The CO2 emissions are reduced to just 99g/km. The three-cylinder petrol engine has Stop&Start, which reduces fuel consumption by up to 15 per cent in urban driving. It is coupled to the five-speed electronically controlled ETG (Efficient Tronic Gearbox). Its creep function, particularly useful for low-speed manoeuvres, allows the vehicle to move at idle without touching the accelerator pedal.
