Roberto Stefanelli and Fr Marcello Montanari from the shrine of the Holy House in Loreto, Italy, recently visited Għajnsielem parish. Located 18 miles south of Ancona, the basilica of the Holy House is one of the most sacred of all shrines dedicated to the Virgin Mary and is one of the most treasured of the Vatican’s ‘extraterritorial’ properties.

They met Archpriest Fr Frankie Bajada and visited the parish church, Radju Lauretana’s studios, the old parish church and the parish house.

Fr Bajada gave them a formal invitation for Archbishop of Loreto Mgr Giovanni Tonucci to visit Għajnsielem next August for the feast of Our Lady of Loreto.
