A helicopter crashed into a Seoul apartment block this morning and fell to the ground.

Gangnam Fire Station said the chopper, owned by South Korea's electronic giant LG Electronics Inc., crashed into the upper section of the high-rise building in Gangnam area at around 8:45 a.m, due to loss of visibility amid thick fog.

The accident left the two pilots dead and 27 residents of the apartment were evacuated without injury, the fire station said.

Gangnam is Seoul's richest district whose affluence was parodied in Korean rapper Psy's hit song.
