Eighteen overseas students spending their Erasmus placement in Malta were recently given the opportunity of gaining a general grasp of Maltese and an understanding of the uniqueness and origins of the language by attending 60 hours of lectures as part of an Erasmus intensive language course. The course included visits to historical sites such as Valletta, Mdina, Rabat, Mosta, Ħagar Qim, Dingli Cliffs, Marsaxlokk, Wied iż-Żurrieq and Argotti Gardens. It was organised by the University’s International and EU Office and funded through the EU’s Lifelong Learning Programme (Erasmus).
