The Malta Communications Authority (MCA) has announced the finalists in the third edition of the Malta eBusiness Awards.

Competing in six different categories, they are as follows: Best eGovernment Initiative: Mcast and Mita; Best B2B Application: PwC, 2X Software and Sullivan Maritime; Best eBusiness Idea of the Year: Exante, Clever Solutions and PwC; Best APP: My Tour Talk Malta, AAT Research and Melita; Best Multi-Channel Strategy: Bank of Valletta, P. The authority said these finalists were shortlisted from 35 entries in total. An independent committee comprising representatives from the industry, the Government and academia conducted the adjudication. While the committee acknowledged the innovative and strategic applications of ICT in support of business processes and operations submitted by all contestants, its main role was to assess the merits of individual achievements based on pre-defined criteria in order to determine the finalists of this year’s edition.

The MCA said it was pleased with the level of participation and the overall quality of the submissions which is a clear indication of the continued interest in this sector.

The winner for each category will be announced in an event ceremony that will be held at the end of November.
