Two Maltese fans, Kim Spiteri and Ian Camilleri, were among 46 Guinness drinkers from around the world who were invited to Dublin for the three-day Guinness Global Gathering event.

Attendees were chosen from thousands of entries from over 20 countries, who had taken part in a St Patrick’s Day photography competition earlier this year.

Guinness fans were treated to a VIP tour of the home of Guinness, The Guinness Storehouse, at St James’s Gate, where they enjoyed a tasting session with Guinness master brewer Fergal Murray and classes on how to pour the perfect pint.

After two days of savouring cultural sights and visiting traditional pubs in the capital, the group enjoyed a whistlestop tour of the Garden of Ireland, Co. Wicklow, taking in the stately Powerscourt House, picturesque Glendalough and the dramatic Great Sugar Loaf Mountain.
