Video interviews of youths talking about their careers, talents, social life and fashion are being featured on the youth section The Zone at www.timesofmalta.com/thezone.

Tomorrow, new interviews will be uploaded on Derek Reilly, who owns print and property businesses, and Sebastian Ripard and Benji Borg, members of the Malta 49ers sailing team.

At the age of 24, Reilly took over the printing business of a friend of his. He expanded it immensely, and now, 10 years later, he has added a property business to his busy schedule.

On the side, he also serves as a volunteer at his local Fire and Rescue department to contribute to the community.

Learn more about what Reilly has learned along the way and what inspires him.

The year 2012 saw Sebastian Ripard and Benji Borg, who form the Malta 49ers team, engaged in an intensive training schedule to pursue their goal – to qualify for the Olympics that same year and perform well there.

Though their dream did not come true, nevertheless the two young men learned a great deal from their failure and their hard work.

Be heard and share your own experiences with others. Tell them about your career choice, what it takes to get where you are, the ups and downs you experience, and offer advice to those who are still uncertain about what they want to do in the future. To be interviewed for The Zone, send an e-mail with a brief description of your career, talent, or a social issue you would like to discuss.Alternatively, you can send your own video. Send a low-resolution version of your file to thezone@timesofmalta.com.
