Custom Travel Information is a new website providing University students and staff customised information on how to reach its Msida campus using different means of transport based on the origin of their journey. The site may be accessed at www.um.edu.mt/iccsd/greentravel/cti.

The University has been implementing various measures to encourage staff and students to use more environmentally friendly and efficient means to travel to and from University. These include facilities and signage to promote the safety of those who wish to walk to the University from Birkirkara, Msida or San Ġwann and the installation of bicycle and shower facilities on campus for cyclists.

The University is collaborating with the University Students Council and the Bicycle Advocacy Group to encourage cycling among staff and students, as well as with Arriva to encourage new staff to try out public transport for free.

For details on the University’s Green Travel Plan, coordinated by the Institute for Climate Change and Sustainable Development, visit www.um.edu.mt/iccsd/greentravel or e-mail greentravel@um.edu.mt.
