Representative to Unesco presents his credentials

Mgr Dr Joe Vella Gauci has presented his diplomatic credentials as Malta's representative to Unesco to Director-General Irina Bokova.

The ceremony took place at the World Heritage Centre in Paris.

The government said the office of the permanent representative will be in Gozo.

Mgr Vella Gauci is the former archpriest of the Cathedral parish in Victoria.
