The Commission charged with reviewing the justice sector has been granted an extra month to submit its report.

The commission, headed by Judge Giovanni Bonello, requested the extension after having received 38 detailed reports and 112 other submissions following the publication of its preliminary reports.

Reports were submitted by, among others, the Judiciary, the police, the Attorney General, the Chamber of Advocates, the Children Commissioner, the Commission on Domestic Violence, the National Commission, Persons with Disability, the Bankers’ Association and a range of other associations and members of the public.

The Commission will now submit its report at the end of November.
