Next Sunday’s 38th programme of the season at the Marsa Racetrack will feature the Autumn Cham-pionship Final, again sponsored by Cassar Fuels.

This is the third consecutive year that Cassar Fuels are backing this cham-pionship which has now become one of the local racing season’s attractions.

The championship is open to the top class horses at the racetrack with prize-money total-ling €3,400.

On Sunday, the owner of the winning horse will receive €2,000 as well as a trophy and a horse blanket.

This final has always been raced in October with the previous win-ners being Livi Can-tona (2011) and Troy Boshoeve (2012).

The best average time for the final was that of 1’14”7 registered by Livi Cantona.

The nine finalists were determined from 25 horses which took part in three qualifying races where some of the best timings of the season were registered.

Sunday’s final will be the eighth race on the card and starts at 4pm.

The programme starts at 1.30pm and includes 10 other races, all qualifiers for the Condition Races and open to Gold, Silver, Bronze and Copper categories. Cassar Fuels are also sponsoring these events.

After the series of qualifying races, the horses that made it to the 2013 Autumn Championship final are Okilaibo, Van-maker Limburgia, Ygor of Pass, Orcas Bac, Nicos de Peneme, Absolut Spender, Label Chouan, Ohime Mag and Mark de Chamant.
