Luxol completed a stirring fightback as they came from behind to beat Depiro 65-57 in the Malta Basketball Association’s women’s Super Cup final yesterday. It was a hard-fought victory for the Luxol girls who were forced to trail their opponents for much of the match as Depiro opened a nine-point lead at the break. But on the restart Luxol stepped up their game and inspired by Becky Naudi and Sarah Pace, who potted 17 points each, put up a strong showing in the fourth quarter to turn the match in their favour and lead the team to their third successive triumph in the competition.
