Seventy Caremalta employees were recently presented with Level 3 City and Guilds diplomas in healthcare following a nine-month course organised by the company’s training and education arm. Most of the newly qualified staff had also joined the company’s traineeship scheme, which enabled them to study and work at the same time.

All graduates were offered a careworker post on the successful completion of the course. Certificates were also presented to lead carers and housekeeping supervisors, who successfully completed courses in management.

Certificates were presented by Parliamentary Secretary for the Rights of Persons with Disability and Active Ageing Franco Mercieca.
