Alena Slezackova of Masaryk University, Czech Republic, will talk on Post-traumatic Growth – Perceived Benefits of Traumatic Events, on Tuesday from 5 to 6.30pm, and on Positive Psychology: Research Findings and Implications for a Happy Life, on Thursday from 1 to 2pm.

These seminars are being held by the Department of Psychology of the University’s Faculty for Social Wellbeing to launch the newly established Psychology Laboratory in the Old Humanities Building, Room 101, at the Msida campus.

In the EU driving seat

In the Driving Seat: An Insider’s View of the Challenge of Handling the Rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union is the theme of a public lecture by Peter Agius, head of the European Parliament Information Office in Malta, to take place on Thursday from 11am to 1pm at the University’s Mediterranean Institute, Room 122, Msida campus.

The event is the first of the 2013-2014 Lecture Series hosted by the University’s Department of International Relations.
