Remember Britney Spears bouncing along seductively in the video for hit single You Drive Me Crazy?

If you do, chances are you also remember the pink waitress uniform she was wearing.

That uniform is now accessible for some good, old-fashioned ogling, thanks to Treasures of the Hard Rock, a roaming exhibition that brings together a number of iconic items from the rock ’n’ roll scene in a one-of-a-kind collection.

The exhibition, which has now arrived at Hard Rock Cafe Malta, highlights rock’s fashionable side and the clothing that has become just as much of an artist’s identity as the equipment used.

The collection is curated by Hard Rock’s resident historian Jeff Nolan and includes some of the most iconic outfits seen paraded on stage by legends like Elvis Presley (his trademark, green shirt and black pants ensemble has been attracting quite a bit of attention), Lady Gaga (look out for her infamous clock dress), Prince (the original black and white suit), Gwen Stefani and more.

The collection currently showing in Malta is part of a bigger collection housed in the Hard Rock Cafe vaults in the US, which includes over 77,000 pieces, making it the most far-reaching collection of music memorabilia.

The idea of smaller, travelling exhibitions was born this year

The idea of smaller, travelling exhibitions was born earlier this year, with three exhibitions featuring a particular theme.

Treasures of the Hard Rock runs at Hard Rock Cafe Malta, Bay Street, until October 17.
