MEPs, candidates for next May’s European elections and students following courses at the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology tested their football skills this morning as they faced national goalkeeper Justin Haber in a penalty shoot-out at the MCAST campus in Paola.

The event, entitled ‘Get Sporty with your MEPs’, was organised by the European Parliament Information Office in Malta in collaboration with MCAST, and also included a zumba session, human table soccer and sumo wrestling, all of which formed part of MCAST’s freshers’ week activities.

MEPs Roberta Metsola and Marlene Mizzi, together with MEP candidates, also participated in a discussion on education, jobs, job mobility, and ways of fighting youth unemployment as did MEP candidates Lino Bianco, Clint Camilleri, Therese Comodini Cachia, Miriam Dalli, Helga Ellul, Cyrus Engerer and Jonathan Shaw.
