A dog walk will mark Animal World Day tomorrow.

Organised by World Event to End Animal Cruelty Malta, the walk starts at 7pm from the Floriana Granaries, proceeds to Blata l-Bajda and ends near the Msida church.

Participants are being encouraged to take their dogs with them. Animal lovers who do not own a dog can contact the Animal Welfare Department at Għammieri to take a dog to walk with them.

The event will also be promoting the petition Stop Vivisection, which gives citizens the opportunity to say ‘no’ to animal experimentation and urge the EU to take into consideration a different scientific approach. For this reason, a candle lit vigil will be held.

To book a dog to walk, contact Fleur Marie Cilia Buckett on fleurciliabuckett@live.com.
