Opposition MPs are expected to return to Parliament this evening after yesterday's walk-out in protest over a ruling by the Speaker.
Whip David Agius said this was not a permanent walk-out. The parliamentary group is to meet this afternoon where a formal decision will be taken.
Opposition leader Simon Busuttil said yesterday the Opposition would contest the ruling in Parliament and in court, possibly even the European Court, since this was viewed as an attempt by the government to gag the opposition in a manner which undermined democracy.
The Speaker found Dr Busuttil prima facie in breach of privilege over comments that the prime minister had interfered in police proceedings against John Dalli.
The prime minister denied the claim and requested the ruling.
