Timesofmalta.com will migrate to a new commenting system starting from tonight.

Malta's top online news website will adopt the Disqus comment service. The platform includes various features, such as social networking integration, rating of comments and gives users the possibility to post a more detailed profile.

Registered users do not need to re-input their details, though readers may also log in via Facebook and Twitter. Readers will now also have the facility to vote up or down comments already published on timesofmalta.com.

Timesofmalta.com's terms and conditions for comments remain unchanged.

The new comments system will be available on the website as well as mobile site and our premium web application for tablets and mobiles.

Disqus system enjoys more than one billion monthly visitors and over 40 languages and is widely used by several international publications, including CNN and The Daily Telegraph.

We are hoping that the new system will shape the future of online discussions by continually giving our readers better ways to participate in the communities, events and stories shaping their lives.
