Five cars were damaged but no one was hurt when a karozzin horse bolted near Fort St Elmo in Valletta yesterday morning. The police said the horse was tied to a horse cab shelter but ripped the strap and fled, despite attempts to hold it back by the 35-year-old cab driver. It ran into an Opel Corsa which then collided with a Renault Megane. The horse slipped and skidded into a Nissan Primera before wedging itself between two parked cars, a Toyota Vitz and a Mercedes Benz C220, where it was restrained.
